The Institute is looking for donations to provide a scholarship to needed participants and other costs not covered by the federal grant. The scholarships will allow those high school students looking for a job during the Summer participate in the Institute.
Stipend for a high school participant during a week: $250We would like to provide a scholarship in the form of a stipend for one or more high school participants during the four weeks they participate full time in the Institute. We are looking for sixteen donations in this category. Every four of these donations will be combined into one scholarship.
Institute t-shirts for field trips: $250We are looking for three donations in this category to provide a t-shirt to participants. This t-shirt will help identify participants during field trips. The t-shirt will bear the National Summer Transportation Institute and the donor logos.
Award plaques: $250We are looking for two donations in this category to provide special recognitions to those participants who demonstrated an excellence performance during the Institute. These awards will be handed out at the Closing Ceremony.
Food for Opening and Closing Ceremonies: $250We are looking for two donations in this category. Every donor will be invited to participate in the Opening (June 30, 2008) and Closing (July 25, 2008) ceremonies to be organized at UMass Boston. Please provide contact information so we can let you know more about these events. Your logo will be included in the participant diplomas, and the Institute's poster and letterhead for the following year.
